Now that Rochester, NY is our new US backyard, we figured we needed to shine some light on the exceptional craft beer scene out there and who better to tell that story than journalist Will Cleveland. Widely renowned in the area for his work at the Democrat & Chronicle newspaper, Will has been a friend of the show for like half a decade but this is his first appearance on the pod. Cee and Will got into the rich beer history of Rochester, his role in helping Other Half open in East Bloomfield, the impact of the legendary Tap & Mallet pub (RIP) and Genesee Brewery, a tease of the impeccable lineup for the Rochester Real Beer Expo in June that he's curating, and why he's loving his Substack newsletter. They got into four amazing beers - Genesee Light, Swiftwater IPA, Other Half Gouda and Mortalis Gemini (Tangerine, Strawberry + Waffle Cone). So many gems here, cheers!
