Episode #11: The Business Of Throwing A Craft Beer Festival with Erica Campbell (Blood Brothers) | The Business of Beer
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this humble craft beer podcast, we're doing something we've never done before: throwing a beer festival. It's quite the story how it all came about, so we brought in our partner on the project, Erica Campbell, Sales Manager of Blood Brothers Brewing and Co-Founder of the Society of Beer Drinking Ladies, to chat about her illustrious history in the beer industry and voluminous experience throwing events. We then did a deep dive into the genesis of the Get It In Ya Fest concept and the ton of collabs, how we've approached the festival, the importance for us of having minimal wait times for pours and no overcrowding, the way the festival is going to work, the food and entertainment, the types of beer you can expect, and we ran through all 40 (FORTY!) of the collaboration breweries to go into how they all came about. We got into some killer Blood Brothers brews: Shumei IPA, Autopop Cherry Cola Sour, and Paradise Lost (Peach Mango) Sour. This is going to be huge - see y'all at Blood Brothers in Toronto on May 31st!
