S7 E4: La Pagaille de Sutton with À L'Abordage Microbrasserie | Against The Grain
Not all incredible beer comes in cans - sometimes you just have to go to the source. Sutton, Quebec is a small ski town about 15 minutes from the Vermont border, and around 5 years ago a brewpub by the name of À L'Abordage opened their doors. After a year or so in business, the owner and head brewer, Cédrik Poitras, discovered New England IPAs and decided to bring this new style to his patrons.
Fast forward to 2020, and À L'Abordage are one of the most underrated breweries in the province, consistently knocking out hazy IPAs and bold stouts worthy of all the Untappd hype. Up until now they've arguably been Quebec's best kept secret, but we blew the lid off that when we hung with Cédrik to discover what made him change the game in the south.
