Our 2019 Craft Beer Holiday Gift List
The holidays are right around the corner, friends! Are you stuck on what to get the craft beer lover in your life? Did you give them the inverted beer bottle glass last year and aren’t sure how to follow that up this year? Or are you just shopping for yourself? (We won’t judge 😉) Cee and I have compiled the essential craft beer holiday gift list for whoever you’re shopping for!
Pretty Pennie Jewellery
Whether you’ve been into craft beer for years or you’ve just recently discovered it, there’s a good chance you’ve seen someone in your local taproom or beer bar wearing one of those badass hop pendants, which are crafted by Ontario jeweller and metalsmith Hilary Pennie. Pretty Pennie Jewellery is perhaps best known for the iconic Heavy on the Hops pendant, but her lineup of craft beer pieces also features rings, earrings, cufflinks, bracelets and new beer designs including growlers and mash paddles. Got a coffee lover on your list? She’s got you covered there too with her new coffee inspired lineup! Whoever you’re buying for, Pretty Pennie’s got the piece to take your gear game to the next level! - Nate

BrewHeads
BrewHeads are a craft beer lifestyle brand and owner Phil is an OG friend of BAOS. If you’ve been following us on Instagram or watched any of the videos, you’ve definitely seen BrewHeads gear featured since the very beginning, including our favourite piece, the BrewHeads bottle opener. Beautifully and responsibly crafted from discarded wood, this opener is magnetic and won’t bend your caps. They’ve also got an entire lineup of clothing for everyone including shirts, shorts, tanks, caps and even yoga pants. - Nate

BAOS Podcast Gear
It wouldn't be a complete craft beer holiday gift list without our own merch, now, would it? Earlier this year we kicked off a merch store - with fresh designs courtesy of Phil from BrewHeads - essentially because the people were asking for it. With three unique designs of our infamous “Get It In Ya!” catchphrase, along with the blue and white variants of our crisp new logo (also courtesy of Phil), we have you covered for t-shirts, sweaters, tanks, caps, hoodies, socks, pillows and more - for men, women and everybody in between. Get them on ya! - Cee
Hops & Bros Merch
Our favourite beer YouTubers and long-time friends Hops & Bros launched a hot new line of merch this year with their Hops & Bros shirts! The entire line which includes tees, tanks and a crew neck sweatshirt features their sexy hop logo on the front and some fantastic cartoon artwork of Max and Chris from Hamilton, ON artist and beer lover David Buist on the back. Show your love for great local art and beer talent with a Hops & Bros shirt! - Nate
Vox & Hops Gear
There aren’t too many craft beer podcasts run by musicians, but to have two in Quebec alone is kinda crazy. I connected with Matt from Vox & Hops over the summer, and not only is he a great guy and a BrewHead, he’s also the vocalist of legendary death metal band Cryptopsy. I featured on his podcast, he guested on BAOS, and his brutal merch is the perfect gift for your beer loving metalhead mates. Right now he has a beanie, a glass and a tee that’ll have you good to go for the holiday season. 🤘 - Cee
Suds Duds Society
I recently discovered Suds Duds Society via Instagram, and they have a really cool concept. Based out of one of my favourite places on earth, San Diego, CA, they offer a unique monthly package consisting of a t-shirt from the brewery of the month, a promotional item like a koozie and a scaled down homebrew recipe of one of the brewery’s fave beers. They offer their packages in various styles, and they recently opened to international markets so folks north of the border are finally able to get their hands on it. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Precarious Beer Project gear, which was awesome as I was just at their brand new Virginia brewery over the summer. Big fan, great gift. - Cee

Brew Grooming
Since I’m a beard-having kinda bloke, I always love any sort of beer ingredient-infused grooming product. When I first saw Brew Grooming’s stuff online, I was immediately drawn to the slick packaging but when I finally got the products in my hands, it sealed the deal. Their Pale Ale Clay keeps your hair on point, the Shaving Gel with hops, barley and yeast extracts give you a super smooth shave, while their Beard Oil keeps your chin glistening with a great beery scent. Perfect for the hairy beer lover in your life. - Cee
Beer Snacks
With so much great beer coming out of Ottawa these days, it’s no wonder that the next logical output from our nation’s capital was beer snacks. Literally. With six great flavours utilizing the unique herbs and spices from various countries including Canada, Greece, Jamaica, Malaysia, China and Puerto Rico, Beer Snacks are essentially spiced up, world travelling peanuts. They deliver the right amount of punch to complement any brew, they’re affordable and they make the perfect stocking stuffer. - Cee
Nate’s Great Jerky, Shiner’s Stash Jerky, Patriot Jerky
https://www.natesgreatjerky.com/
Twenty nineteen has been the year of jerky for the team at BAOS. We were lucky enough to sample some great products from across the U.S. that made our drinking sessions a lot more fulfilling. Nate’s Great Jerky out of California is marketed as “bacon crack”, and that’s exactly what it is - cured bacon in Teriyaki Lime or Sweet Habanero is exactly the salty, sweet snack you’re craving with your favourite crispyboi. Shiner’s Stash Jerky out of North Carolina produce fantastic, high quality beef jerky in flavours ranging from Mesquite BBQ to Cajun Spice, Sriracha to Bacon Candy, alongside a ton of other fun seasonings. Finally, Patriot Jerky (also out of NC) are a military-inspired company, offering a straight-forward range of tasty flavours - Mild, Medium, Hot and Teriyaki. Get all of these in ya! - Cee
